Complex Case & Case Management

For complex, long-term, or high-risk cases requiring deeper analysis.

Each case fee covers:

  • Remote assessment with the employee
  • Review of referral information and role demands
  • Work-focused analysis
  • A structured report with clear, practical recommendations

For complex cases, this may include agreed follow-up input as part of the initial scope.

We offer fixed, case-based fees for clinicians working with Return Well — £240 for a Remote Workplace Assessment, £290 for a Return-to-Work Assessment, and £430 for Complex Case and Case Management referrals. Fees depend on the type and scope of the referral. Once we have received your registration details, agreement confirmation, and CV, our team will review your application. If approved, your profile will be activated and full fee details will be confirmed, at which point you will be asked to formally agree to these rates before receiving referrals. As employers pay for services upfront, clinicians are paid promptly following completion of the assessment and submission of the required report.

How it works

  1. 1Employers submit referrals directly via the Return Well portal
  2. 2Available cases are visible within the platform
  3. 3You select and accept cases based on your availability
  4. 4Once accepted, you manage the case through to completion and submit your report via the portal

Service expectations

To ensure a consistent experience for employers, we ask that OTs:

  • Make initial contact with the employee within 48 hours of accepting a case
  • Arrange an assessment date as soon as possible (typically within 5–7 days)
  • Deliver reports within agreed timeframes
  • Communicate clearly and professionally throughout

Why work with Return Well

  • Direct access to employer referrals
  • Fully remote, flexible work
  • No need to source your own clients
  • Structured, workplace-focused cases
  • Streamlined delivery via our portal

Performance & fee review

We prioritise long-term working relationships with therapists who deliver consistently high standards. Top-performing OTs may be offered enhanced rates and priority access to referrals, based on:

  • Quality of reports
  • Employer feedback
  • Reliability and turnaround times
