Cookies policy

This policy explains how Return Well uses cookies and similar technologies on returnwell.co.uk. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're used to make sites work properly, remember preferences, and, in some cases, measure how visitors use the site or deliver advertising. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as information stored in your browser's local storage.
2. Categories we use
We group cookies into four categories. You can accept or reject the non-essential ones at any time.
Necessary (always on)
Required for the site to work: keeping you signed in to a portal, remembering your cookie choice, and fraud protection when you pay. If you start a conversation in our website chat, we also store a chat reference in your browser so the conversation continues from page to page. These don't track you and can't be turned off.
Functional
Lets the chat widget remember whether it has already opened for you and whether you minimised it. Off until you accept; without it, the chat won't open by itself.
Analytics
Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics, which measures which pages are visited and how people move through the site, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling. Both are loaded through Google Tag Manager, and we only load Google Tag Manager after you accept analytics cookies. Cookies in this category include _ga, _ga_*, _clck and _clsk.
Advertising
Used to measure how well our advertising works and to build audiences for retargeting. Off until you accept. The LinkedIn Insight Tag sets cookies including li_sugr, lidc and bcookie. If you submit a form after accepting, we also send LinkedIn a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and your name so it can count the result of an advert. Google Ads conversion measurement may also run, through Google Tag Manager, only if you have accepted advertising cookies.
Cookie-free statistics
We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without using cookies or storing anything on your device, and without identifying you.
3. Changing your choice
You can update or withdraw your consent at any time by re-opening the preferences panel:
You can also clear cookies via your browser settings, although this will sign you out of any accounts and reset all preferences on every site.
4. Third parties
The third-party services that may set cookies through this site:
- CookieYes: the cookie consent banner itself (necessary).
- Supabase: keeps you signed in to a Return Well portal (necessary).
- Stripe: fraud protection on the checkout page (necessary).
- Google(Tag Manager, Analytics and Ads): only after you accept analytics cookies, with Google's advertising features also needing advertising consent.
- Microsoft Clarity: only after you accept analytics cookies.
- LinkedIn: only after you accept advertising cookies.
Booking a discovery call takes you to Cal.com's own website, which has its own cookie policy.
