Different from traditional OH
Traditional OH providers rely on slow, in-person appointments and a pool of generalists. Return Well is fully remote, with cases matched to a clinician who has the right specialism, mental health, MSK, occupational health, or complex case management, so reports are faster and more practical to act on.

Occupational Health
Good for: Established clinical assessments, often on a contract or retainer.
Return Well adds: Return Well gives the same independent clinical rigour with no retainer: pay per case, work-focused recommendations, and reports in 3–5 days. Ideal if you don't have OH, or want faster, flexible access.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
Good for: Confidential counselling and support employees can self-refer to.
Return Well adds: An EAP supports the employee privately, but doesn't give you, the employer, clinical recommendations or workplace adjustments. Return Well does, so you know what to actually do.
HR advice alone
Good for: Essential for process, policy and employment-law decisions.

GP fit note
Good for: A starting point on whether someone is fit for work.
