Your client has an employee who is off sick, or struggling at work, and no occupational health provider to turn to. We assess the employee remotely and give the employer a clear, practical report they can act on — pay per case, with nothing to sign.
When it's worth referring
The situations advisers bring to us most often:
- An employee signed off for weeks with no clear plan for coming back
- A return to work that didn't hold
- A request for adjustments, where nobody is sure what's reasonable
- Someone clearly struggling but still at work
- A capability or absence process where the client needs independent evidence
- An employee who is, or may be, neurodivergent, and nobody knows what would help
How a referral works

You pass on our details, or submit the case yourself
Either works. Most advisers forward this page to their client; some submit the referral on their behalf. It takes about ten minutes and no account is needed.

We choose the clinician
Return Well selects the right clinician for the case from our network — an occupational therapist, occupational health nurse, physiotherapist or CBT psychotherapist, all registered with the HCPC or NMC.

The assessment happens remotely
A video consultation with the employee, usually within 5 working days of submission. Anywhere in the UK, with no travel and no waiting for a local appointment.

The employee reviews the report, then the employer receives it
Your client receives a written report usually within 5 working days of the assessment, setting out what the employee can manage, what adjustments would help, and over what timescale.
The assessments, and what they cost
Your client doesn't need to work out which one they need. The referral form asks about the situation and we recommend the right assessment, with the price shown before anyone commits.

One fee per case. No VAT, no retainer, no minimum volume.
What we ask of you, and what we don't
We pay no referral fees, and we ask for none.
Nothing financial passes between us in either direction. You can recommend us because it helps your client, and say so.
No contract, for you or for them.
Your client pays per case. If a year passes without another, they pay nothing in between.
We are independent of the employer.
We are not employed by your client and do not act for an insurer. The report says what the clinician found, which is what makes it worth having.
We are not an occupational health provider in the regulated sense.
We provide independent clinical workplace assessments. For most smaller employers, without an OH contract and without an OH physician on the case, that is exactly what they need — but you should know precisely what you are recommending.
